Vision

At our core, we aspire to discover, nurture, and empower talented young footballers to achieve their utmost potential within a nurturing, supportive, and professional learning environment. We cultivate a competitive ethos that prioritizes teamwork, enjoyment, and meaningful impact on the lives of our youth players.

Mission

Our mission is to identify, develop, and support talented young footballers, helping them reach their full potential in a positive, supportive, and professional learning environment. We foster a competitive culture that emphasizes teamwork and enjoyment, while making a positive impact on our young players lives.

Philosophy

At Tamworth FC Academy, our philosophy is centred on playing purposeful and effective football. We recruit with intent and equip our players with the technical and tactical skills necessary to control and influence the game, whether in possession or not. Our aim is to create an environment where players develop the athletic ability and mental strength to regain possession and control of the game.

Our Academy values, behaviours, and coaching methods are the foundation of this
philosophy. We recruit and develop players and staff who share our beliefs and work ethic, fostering a strong team spirit both on and off the pitch. We strive to play attack-minded football characterized by positive, purposeful, and incisive passing, exploiting space, and progressing through the pitch to create goal-scoring opportunities. When out of possession, we emphasize pressing from the front, organization, discipline, and a strong will to defend. Our Academy management team is committed to implementing and overseeing this playing philosophy across both the first team and the Academy. This ensures that all teams work towards the same goals using consistent methods.

The Under-23/Reserve Team Squad mirrors the training and match preparation methodology of the first team, preparing players for future opportunities. Younger age groups, from Under- 19 and below, are given the chance to develop all aspects of their game, providing them with a comprehensive football education.

Objectives

1. Prioritize the individual needs of young footballers in all our activities.
2. Uphold high standards in football, academics, and social conduct, serving as positive role
models.
3. Create a supportive, disciplined environment where players and staff take pride in
themselves and their surroundings.
4. Build a robust talent identification network that treats players, parents, and partners with
honesty, integrity, and respect.
5. Develop an exceptional learning program to maximize players’ potential and produce
outstanding young footballers.

6. Communicate the academy’s aims and objectives effectively with all stakeholders.
7. Promote and support positive outcomes in health, education, and overall development.
8. Celebrate players’ successes and acknowledge positive attitudes and behaviours.
9. Foster positive and honest relationships with all stakeholders, including players, parents,
feeder organizations, and external partners.
10. Provide young players with a comprehensive experience, equipping them for diverse career pathways.
